International Surrey Football will be hosting the first-ever stage of the World Unity Football Alliance’s World Series, intended to be just one part of several tournaments the World Series, with the tournament in Surrey potentially forming a blueprint for other tournaments that could be held more frequently and more flexibly by WUFA members around the world and increase both FA and supporter participation and engagement.
Surrey is pleased to be welcoming two existing WUFA members and long-term friends in the Barawa and Chagos Islands FAs as well as welcoming a new team to the non-FIFA landscape in the form of Maghreb, representing the Moroccan diaspora in England. After such a long enforced break, to be able to return to the pitch and finally be able to retell the stories of each member is what these games will be providing a platform for in May.
